Hey, hey everyone! Welcome to Season 2 of the Bold Leadership Revolution Podcast and I am your host, Tara Newman.

I’m here to teach leaders how to have the endurance to make a big impact.
This is a podcast that will help you embrace your ambition AND leave the grind behind.

First, I want to thank all of you for continuing to show up, review the podcast and share on social media, and reach out letting me know the impact each episode has had on you.

IN SEASON 2 MY MISSION REMAINS THE SAME — TO PROVIDE FREE, VALUABLE, PRACTICAL, AND ACTIONABLE CONTENT FOR THE PURPOSE OF DEVELOPING BOLDER, BRAVER LEADERS IN THE WORLD WHO HAVE THE COURAGE TO WORK SMARTER NOT HARDER.

If you’re thinking to yourself, “this content is so helpful to me, how could I ever possibly repay Tara for her efforts?”, I have that answer for you — keep doing what you’re doing. Please continue to review, share, download and engage with this content. It really does mean so much to me to know it’s useful and it helps me plan what will come next.

Before I  launch into talking about Season 2, I would like to briefly reflect on Season 1.
My goal for season 1 was to ship the thing! To not let resistance win and to step into my role as a broadcaster.

Another goal of mine was to receive 40 reviews within 2 weeks of launching the podcast. And I decided to donate $10 per review to the #istandforgirls campaign which raises money to send girls in Mozambique to school. The donation covers uniform costs, books, transportation fees, you name it.

I was so grateful to receive 45 reviews in such a short period of time, I was able to send TWO girls to school!

One of my primary whys for this podcast was to meet new and inspiring people. This has been my north star anytime I started to second guess myself. SO, a HUGE thank you to all of you who have taken the time to introduce yourself to me.

GOING INTO SEASON 2 MY GOALS ARE:

  1. Significantly improve the listening experience for you. I have bought new equipment and learned new software to make this happen. A BIG BOLD LEADER shoutout to Jason Van Orden for all the help with podcast equipment and tutorials.
  2. To increase my podcast reviews by 20 or more reviews. So, if you haven’t reviewed this podcast yet, press pause and go leave a review. You can do it straight from your phone. It only takes a few minutes.
  3. Produce remarkable, life-changing content to help you grow as a human being. Content that will not only help you develop leadership skills but will help you build character, mental toughness and resilience so you can thrive in an ever-changing, often uncertain business environment.

One of the reasons why I like breaking this podcast up into seasons is it allows me to organize each season into themes.

The theme for Season 1 was defining Bold Leadership. We covered topics such as what would a bold leader do, how to lead from the inside out, what our work is as bold leaders and the importance of self-care.

Season 2 is going to cover Leadership and Money. The importance of our relationship with money as leaders. Season 1, Episode 06 — How to feel abundant even when you’re freaking out about money received some of the most engagement and people came out of the woodwork to start conversations with me about this topic.

This is also a topic widely covered in my coaching sessions so I know how important it is to continue the conversation in the open.

I don’t presume to be a financial expert. I’ve had more than my fair share of financial ups and downs. I have feelings of discomfort, shame, and guilt around money like most people do. And I also work at staying present to my feelings and beliefs around money — a habit and practice I’ve had for well over a decade.

My primary motivation for this season is to simply start the conversation — to encourage you to ask questions and claim your financial desires.

However, I do have SOME credentials…

When I talk about leadership and money, I’m coming at this subject with over 20 years leadership development experience and having coaching thousands of leaders on a global scale. I have had clients in US, Canada, UK, Austria, Australia, Switzerland, and Germany.
The money concerns and issues are not unique to any particular country or economy in any specific country. Although, everyone likes to think their country is special.

I have coached people earning very little money and I have coached people earning well into the 7 figures. The size of your pocketbook doesn’t matter. We are all putting our pants on one leg at a time.

Leaders can’t serve from an empty vessel. Leaders need the endurance to make an impact — being financially whole and abundant goes a long way in taking the edge off the hustle and helps leaders serve at their highest level.

As always episodes will be to the point with no fluff. My co-host, Jo Gifford will be returning as well as another guest co-host or two.

I will be providing additional tools and resources to help you go deeper and take immediate action in applying this information.

If you tune in and stay present through these episodes, I can guarantee you will experience ah-ha moments, personal insights, paradigm shifts and growth of all kinds.

So here’s what I want you to do right now as you wait for Episode 1 to drop:

  1. Take a picture of yourself listening to this episode and post it to social media.
Tag me in the photo and tell me what you’re looking forward to in Season 2.
  2. I’ve prepared a quick Download on My top 10 favorite Money Mindset Books. I get asked what my favorite books are ALL the time and I hope you will find this a useful companion as we explore all things leadership and money this season.

As always, it’s super fun to be here with you, sharing in this way and I look forward to starting season 2 in a few weeks!
